Coin Toss Collective formed at Bristol Old Vic in 2021 through Made In Bristol, a year-long theatre-making residency at the Bristol Old Vic theatre. Notable ex-MIB theatre companies include The Wardrobe Ensemble.

We are a diverse theatre company of performers and theatre makers who devise, write and direct work together collaboratively in a non-hierarchical structure, with all of us taking it in turns to be an 'outside eye' in the rehearsal room. We ‘coined’ our name in a fluke moment - when trying to decide (and disagreeing!) between two other options, one of us suggested that we toss a coin! And just like the act of tossing a coin, our approach to theatre-making is playful, curious and open to experimenting with ‘liveness’, which often takes our work in exciting, unexpected and unconventional directions. 

As a company, we are committed to sustainable theatre-making. Three of our members have undertaken training by The Carbon Literacy Project and are 'Certified Carbon Literate'.
